As you navigate the corridors and rooms of the stronghold, look for:

• Mossy stone bricks: These indicate the stronghold is old and may lead you to the portal room.
• Lava or water: The portal room often has lava or water features, so follow the sounds of flowing liquid.
• Iron doors: The portal room is typically sealed off by iron doors which require a button or lever to open.

When you find the portal room, you'll see the End portal frame. This is a 12-block ring of bedrock with lava in the centre. To activate the portal, you need to fill the frame with 12 ender eyes.
